New Independent Traveler bus line to explore Estonia!

Estonian Experience is launching new independent traveler bus line to bring you to the most interesting places in Estonia

When talking to our customers, we found that even though Tallinn has lots of interesting attractions, they felt it too difficult to get to most interesting places in other parts of Estonia. We are honest, Estonian public transportation system is not really optimised for serving independent travelers. Especially those, who want to travel around the countryside and explore the most unique and authentic places outside of larger towns.

Therefore we decided to launch a new traveler bus line which tours around Estonia and visits the most interesting attractions. It is targeted mainly to individual travelers and small groups and we are also using only small buses.

Our first tour will last for 3 days:

1. day Tallinn-Lahemaa-Rakvere

2. day Rakvere-Eastern-Estonia-Peipsi lake-Tartu

3. day Tartu-Viljandi-Soomaa-Tallinn

Highlights of the tour

- visiting Lahemaa National park and Manors

- making a bog walk

- medieval Rakvere castle

- visiting underground Mining museum

- jeep safari in the historical Mining pits

- beautiful waterfalls and cliffs

- seeing remains of our Soviet period

- eating locally grown vegetables and smoked fish on the shores of Peipsi lake

- exploring Soomaa national park by canoe

- swimming in Lakes, Rivers or Sea (obviously depending on the water temperature)

- Soviet time car museum with over 300 beautiful (ok, you decide) models from that period

You can see all the detailed destinations on Google map which will be added to out site shortly. In every town, we recommend the best hostels and guesthouses, but you can make the decision based on your preferences and budgets.

The bus will tour regularly and you can stay in every destination for longer and continue your travel with the next bus. Even though the tours are in English, you will be expected to see also some local people travelling with us.

When the weather and see becomes warmer, we plan to also add Pärnu-Saaremaa-Hiiumaa option. But we have to say that the biggest interest by far has been for Baltic tour covering all 3 countries - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We are also making preparation work to launch that option.

To travel with us, you need to by the Travel Pass, which gives you the right to travel agreed amount of stops in one direction. As an example 3 days Travel Pass allows you to travel from Tallinn to Rakvere to Tartu and back to Tallinn within 1 month period.

We are still clarifying the pricing but we try to give you as good pricing as we can. Our current estimates:

Tour pricing

Travel pass costs 45 EUR (1 day), 85 EUR (2 days) and 119 EUR (3 days)

Accommodation in hostels between 15-20 EUR per night

Food and drinks - we suggest some good local places but you can also take your own food with you

Activities - mostly for free. There are some optional paid activities which costs under 6 EUR (expect Jeep safari and canoe trip)

We plan to start in mid June but you can already now contact our sales manager Eva-Maria at +372 53 464 060 or sales@estonianexperience.com for bookings and reservations. You can ask for private tours for groups of over 6 persons but we also suggest to think about joining our scheduled tours to meet other likeminded travelers.
