The excursion continues by a private car transfer to the outskirts of Tallinn – Kadriorg Park and Pirita beach.

Tour Description

Tallinn Old Town with its romantic cobblestone streets, charming red roofs, medieval and gothic style houses is the best preserved old town in northern Europe. Admire the picturesque lower town, the fortified town wall with many towers, the Town Hall, one of the oldest continuously functioning pharmacies in the world, St. Olav's Church, Aleksander Nevskij's Cathedral, the Houses of Parlament and experience the magnificent panoramic views from Toompea Hill.

If wished possibility to visit the best preserved town wall in Northern Europe, dating from the 14th century.

Your family will discover Tallinn through legends and learn about the life in medieval times as well as the everyday life of Estonian people today. Instead of having a monologue-type observation of the city, you will enter into friendly discussion with your guide and learn about the country through local’s eyes.

The guide will also take you to the Marzipan museum where children and parents together will have a chance to do marzipan modeling and painting. It’s fun for everyone and afterwards you can take home a special marzipan figure as a souvenir from Tallinn.

In addition it is possible with good weather only to take a 20 minutes ride with a small Train Thomas in the old town.

After the walking tour you will have a round-trip to Kadriorg and Pirita. Special visit to vicinity of Tallinn includes the most interesting sights! Your guide will show you the baroque style Kadriorg Art Museum and gardens, built by Peter the Great, Presidential Palace, KUMU New Art Museum, The Song Festival Grounds.

According to the wishes of your family we can have a short walk either in the lovely Kadriorg Park or on Pirita beach. You can choose to have a lovely family picnic on the beach of Pirita by the Baltic Sea or a short time to make some sand cakes on the beach with your kids.
